Nick Simmonite from The Frog & Parrot, Sheffield has been crowned the first BBN National Winner at The House of Lords, Westminster on Thursday 01 July 2010.
The results of the award remained a secret until the BBN Parliamentary Reception. The six finalists were:- Samantha Bridge, Club 147, Landudno Adam Chilton, TS One, Middlesbrough Ronnie Lannin. University of Plymouth Students Union Gemma Rowlands, Yates, Swindon Nick Simmonite, Frog & Parrot, Sheffield Gordon Tartt, Barbacoa, Liverpool All finalists were overall winners from individual BBN schemes throughout the UK and would have shown during their individual assessments that they are operating at a high level.
A delighted Nick was presented with the national award by Bruce Ray, Director of External Affairs, Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands and was witnessed and celebrated by a packed audience from all areas of the licensed retailing industry.
Nick added “It has been a great honour to win the first BBN national award and proves best practice and social responsibility are a top priority to guarantee a good safe night out in the heart of Sheffield.”
Nick now has the opportunity to use the status associated with winning to a maximum effect. |
