A special award ceremony was held by Ceredigion County Council to recognise the efforts of local businesses in Ceredigion who have excelled in driving up licensing standards within the County. Seventeen licensed premises from throughout Ceredigion have been successful in gaining the highly regarded Best Bar None award. The winners are: Silver Awards: Moorlands Caravan Park & Social Club, Llangybi The Talbot, Tregaron The Varsity, Aberystwyth Why Not, Aberystwyth
Gold Awards: Aberystwyth Guild of Students -The Union, Aberystwyth Inn on the Pier, Aberystwyth Kane’s Bar, Aberystwyth Pier Brasserie, Aberystwyth Pier Pavilion, Aberystwyth Pier Pressure, Aberystwyth Tafarn y Cadwgan, Aberaeron The Academy, Aberystwyth The Court Royale, Aberystwyth The Penwig Hotel, New Quay Theatr Mwldan, Cardigan Castle Hotel, Aberystwyth Yr Hen Orsaf, Aberystwyth
Awards were also made for the best premises in each of the following categories: Best Pub, Best Bar, Best Club and Best Leisure Complex together with an Award for the Best Overall Winner of Ceredigion’s Best Bar None scheme which went to Royal Pier, Aberystwyth with its premises winning the best in category awards for Best Bar - Pier Pavilion and Pier Brasserie, Best Pub - Inn on the Pier and Best Club - Pier Pressure. The winner of the Best Leisure Complex was Theatr Mwldan, Cardigan.
