The aim of the initiative is to promote responsible management of licensed premises. The scheme is a joint effort by Conwy County Borough Council and Denbighshire County Council to recognise good practice within the licensing industry in the hope that more premises will aspire to become accredited. Accredited premises ensure a safe and enjoyable place for a night out, which is vital to the economic growth and sustainability of the region. Best Bar None aims to reward venues that are well managed and take customer safety seriously. Thirty premises applied to the scheme with eighteen successfully achieving accreditation.
