Best Bar None assessors nationally accredited qualification celebrates its first anniversary PDF  | Print |  E-mail

The BIIAB Level 2 Award in Assessment of Licensed Premises (Social Responsibility) (AALP(SR)) was launched a year ago and over 350 candidates have successfully gained the qualification across the country through over 60 approved training centres.

BIIAB (AALP(SR)), developed in conjunction with Best Bar None, aims to provide a national benchmark of the assessment approach taken by assessors of recognised award schemes for licensed premises across the country.  It covers issues around legislative requirements, threat analysis and managing conflict, as well as giving those involved in the process an outline of what constitutes evidence and the importance of good communication.

Best Bar None has been growing over the last year and there are now over 80 schemes operating across the UK, with the first international scheme in Canada in its infancy. Every month more assessors are taking the qualification as more schemes are being launched.

Lord Redesdale, Chairman of the Best Bar None Board, said, “Best Bar None continues to flourish across the UK. With so many licensees and operators of schemes taking the time to get involved it is important that a consistent approach to assessment should be adopted.

He added, “This qualification was the first of its kind and the popularity in this first year shows that it is meeting the needs of assessors across the country.” ENDS For further information please contact:
